PLANT OPERATONS BASIC POLICY & RESPONSIBILITY
Section 7.01.02 - BASIC POLICY AND RESPONSIBILITY
The Plant Operations Department is responsible for the design and basic operation and perpetual maintenance of the physical facilities of Georgia College & State University; therefore, any changes to these facilities should be performed by or coordinated with the Plant Operations Department.
It is important that the Plant Operations Department have knowledge of the exact condition of the physical facilities at all times; thus, it is imperative that we be advised of any planned alterations to any structure or ground area.
All connections made to utility systems (communications, water, sewer, air, vacuum, gas, steam, or electrical), whether in or out of buildings, should be performed by Plant Operations Department personnel or licensed professionals under Plant Operations guidance. Plant Operations is responsible for all energy sources which include Natural Gas, Propane Gas, Fuel Oil, and Renewable Energy Sources such as Solar Photovoltaic.
Plant Operations will inspect all work plans and completed work for compliance with statutory requirements and established policies.
