MUSEUM AND ARCHIVES OF GEORGIA EDUCATION
The museum adopts a multidisciplinary approach, utilizing the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences to reach diverse communities through educational programs and exhibitions. Both the university community and the general public are involved.
The museum is located adjacent to the GCSU Library and Information Technology Center and housed within the same structure. The museum has three galleries and a multipurpose education room that is equipped with a projector, laptop, vcr, dvd, sound system, and podium. The education room is equipped to accommodate lectures, workshops, presentations, meetings, luncheons, receptions, or other similar activities for up to seventy people.
The education room can be reserved for events sponsored by campus and off campus entities. All inquiries regarding the reservation of this space can be made to Facility Reservations at (478) 445-2749.
The museum entrance is located at 221 North Clarke Street. Handicap accessible entrances are located on Montgomery Street and via the library. Museum hours for the academic year are available at http://library.gcsu.edu/museum/ . For further information, contact the museum staff at (478) 445-4391.
