LEGAL LIMITATIONS ON RESEARCH

Grants accepted by GCSU from a federal agency, private corporation or other awarding agency will be conducted in accordance with the specifications of the particular granting agency. However, the university cannot formally accept any contract or grant or enter into any agreement contrary to the State of Georgia law, Regents' rules and regulations or GCSU rules and regulations.
All purchases made under contract, grant, or agreements must be done in accordance with the State of Georgia purchasing regulations, Regents' policies and procedures and GCSU procedures. Expenditures for obligations incurred on the contracts, grants or agreement cannot be made for purposes other than those for which state funds can be expended, unless specifically authorized by the proper authorities.
Travel regulations outlined by the State of Georgia and GCSU must be followed for reimbursing travel costs of individuals traveling as part of the work performed under a contract grant or agreement.
