EVALUATION OF STUDENTS PRIOR TO MID-TERM (FRESHMAN)
BOR Reference: USG Academic Affairs Handbook: 2.07.01 http://www.usg.edu/academic_affairs_handbook/
GCSU Procedures: The Board of Regents of the University System requires that each faculty member provide each student in each course each semester with an evaluation prior to the last day the university calendar permits a student to drop a course without academic penalty. Therefore, each faculty member must use a grading system that provides the student with information reflecting his standing in the course prior to the last day to drop a course and still receive a "W" grade. The course syllabus should provide specific information regarding what evaluation the student can expect before mid-term.
The Academic Council approved (January 2003) the policy that all midterm grades will be posted on Banner for all freshman core courses. Effective Fall Semester 2003
