CPR PROCESS SCHEDULE

(The process runs from March of year 1 through August of year 2)

Months

CPR Activity

March, yr. 1

BOR sends threshold reports of programs underperforming in viability and productivity.

Department chairs and deans are informed about any programs triggered for early review and reminded about which programs are scheduled to begin their scheduled CPR process.

April

Department faculty develops review plan, in consultation with the dean, for CPR in the coming year, with the report due August of the following year.

Chairs of programs beginning CPR uses the summer months to get organized, collect date, seek external reviewer, etc.

August

As soon as faculty returns in August, members of the program faculty begin their analysis of APR data for the previous year, so they can conclude that assessment cycle and begin their analysis of the previous four years.

September

Departments conducting CPR begin internal analysis of data from the previous 4 years' APR reports.

October

Departments conducting CPR begin internal analysis of factors not covered in the APR reports.

November

Departments conducting CPR arrange for external reviewers to visit in January or February, and send reviewers a report of self-study findings.  This visitation schedule may need to be modified for accredited programs.

External reviewers of programs undergoing CPR have finished their analysis by the end of February, and submitted a written report of their findings.

March, yr. 2

Departments conducting CPR respond to analysis on external reviewer, and integrating it with internal analysis. 

April

Before the close of spring term, the members of the faculty bring the review process to a close, agreeing that the content for the CPR report is all compiled, and resulting decisions have been made.

Chairs of programs which began review in the previous year draft CPR reports.

July

Chairs submit drafts of report on CPR begun the previous year to deans for response and revision if needed.

August

Deans respond to CPR reports from previous year and submit CPR reports to the VPAA for response.

September

VPAA responds to CPR reports from the previous year and sends them to the VCAA of the BOR.
