ASSIGNMENT AND PAYMENT OF OVERLOADS

For a number of reasons, the Chancellor's office has discouraged the payment of extra compensation for teaching overloads. Recognizing, however, that special circumstances may sometimes require assignment of overloads with payment of extra compensation, the Chancellor has requested that prior approval be granted by his office for such action. Payment of extra compensation for teaching overloads must be kept to an absolute minimum and must be justified by circumstances that clearly warrant such action.
