APR PROCESS SCHEDULE
Academic Units -- Assessment of Departmental and Degree Program Goals
May - July
Chairs and program directors can begin entry of assessment data for goals and outcomes that had been identified in the fall
August
Chairs and program directors share the updated, but still incomplete, assessment record for the previous year with faculty when they return.
September
Departments complete assessment for the previous year by analyzing data and determining the best response.
Chairs and program directors input results of assessment for the previous year into the APR system.
Also department consider if any changes are desired for beginning the current year's assessment.
Chairs and program directors input new plans for assessing the current year into the APR system.
October
Deans study APR reports from departments and discuss with chairs.
Deans enter their Administrative Response and College Assessment for the previous year.
November
Division Provost studies APR Response Reports from Colleges and Academic Support Units and enters the Academic Affairs Division Reports for the previous year.
December
APR is checked for completion and closed (data and responses on record cannot be altered).
Academic Support Units – Assessment of Unit Goals
June
Unit heads, working with staff, update the APR begun in the fall with data resulting from assessment throughout the year.
The entry of assessment data is followed by analysis and decision-making about the future.
July
Unit heads consider if any changes are desired for beginning the current year's assessment.
Unit heads input new plans for assessing the current year into the APR system.
In case of supervisory units, the supervisory unit heads study APR reports from units and discuss with heads.
August
The Associate Provost enter his Administrative Response and Unit Assessment for the previous year.
November
Provost studies APR Response Reports from Colleges and Academic Support Units and enters the Academic Affairs Division Reports for the previous year.
December
APR is checked for completion and closed (data and responses on record cannot be altered).
