About Us:

To promote physical, emotional, social, community, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions of wellenss.

The Wellness Residential Learning Community (WRLC) is a two year community where students grow together in the development of attitudes and practices that foster holistic well-being in a Community of people who come together with a shared commitment to pursue all the dimensions of wellness. The Community promotes respect and understanding of each other, creating an environment that values, encourages, and facilitates the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.

Students aren't just residents of the Community, but active participants. Students have the opportunity to participate in health fairs, campus and community service projects, the annual Bobcat Ramble and blood drives. Students will also have direct involvement with a faculty mentor and graduate student for the purposes of creating social activities, informal discussions about health issues, and the organization of activities. Students will experience a shared commitment from faculty and staff to the development and practice of the pursuit of healthy living. The WRLC is also a registered student organization at GCSU where students actively engage in decision making for the Community through the voices of the Community's officers. The WRLC values student input and respects the diversity of students who wish to participate in the Community.
