The Environmental Science Club at Georgia College & State University is a registered traditional student organization. The purpose of the club is to educate students, staff, and faculty on environmental issues, improve environmental practices on campus and in the community, and sponsor environmental affairs and events.
To join the club, come to a meeting or contact one of the officers below. Dues are $10 per school year, or $5 per semester. Please subscribe to our email distribution list to stay current with club activities.
Club Meetings are every other Monday at 8:00pm, in Herty 252.

The Club is also sponsoring the Fall 2008 Biology and Environmental Science Seminar Series. Please come to Herty 250 on Tuesdays at 4pm to experience this event.
Once a month we gather in A&S 370 on Wednesdays at 8 pm to watch an environmental themed movie.

The GCSU Environmental Science Club is organizing the Times Talk for Wednesday, 24 September 2008!! Come to Beeson Hall, in the basement, at 12:30pm to enjoy FREE PIZZA and talk about critical environmental issues in the New York Times.
On the last Thursday of each month, the club sponsors a Power Ride, where we gather on bicycles and ride legally through the streets of Milledgeville to show our support for alternative travel and healthy commuting. Please join us at the Bobcat on Front Campus at 5:00pm on these dates:

Power Vote is a movement to get one million people to vow
that they will vote for the presidential candidate with the strongest
environmental platform. The agreement also states that the participants will
keep pressure on their candidate to make environmentally sound choices
throughout their time in office. There is no right or wrong candidate choice
here, the point is to find the candidate with the environmental stance you most
believe in. You can sign the petition at

In support of Georgia's Adopt-A-Stream program, we have adopted Fishing Creek and perform monthly testing. Each month (on a Friday at 3pm) we collect chemical data; every three months we collect biological and physical data as well. Please direct your questions to our AAS coordinator, Andy Davis.
