Bobcat Frisbee Club

Constitution

 

Purpose: 

             The Club will bring together those who wish to indulge in ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee golf, or freestyle Frisbee, and provide instruction, coordination, and development of Frisbee-related activities.  The club will sponsor participation in ultimate and disc golf tournaments, and work to increase community involvement in recreational activities involving Frisbee sports. 

 

Membership:

  1. The Club is for any active student or faculty member at Georgia College & State University.
  2. Applications for membership can be filled out during any point any semester.
  3. Requirements include good vision, decent appreciation for being and no whining.

 

Dues and Payments:

            Each member shall be charged $7 dues per school year, due at the time of joining the club or at the first meeting of the school year.  Members who fail to submit dues will not be able to participate in official club events, and shall not be voting members.

 

Officers:

            President- the President conducts meetings and represents the Club as the lead officer.

            Vice-President- the Vice-President performs the duties of the Club in the absence of the President and oversees specific Club projects.

            Secretary- the Secretary conducts elections and keeps minutes of the Club.

Treasurer- the Treasurer is responsible for collecting dues and maintaining an official membership list.

 

Elections:

            The three club officers (President, Secretary, and Treasurer) shall be elected by the club at the last meeting of the regular school year (usually April or May), so long as a quorum is present.  The current Secretary shall request a list of nominations and conduct an election.  The candidate with the most votes for each position will be appointed as the officer, so long as that person has not already been appointed to another position.

           

Meetings:

            Club meetings will be held the first Monday of each month, and as deemed necessary by the President.

 

Quorum:

            A meeting quorum shall be one more than half of the active members in attendance or with proxy.

 

Amendments:

            This Constitution shall be amended by majority vote of the membership, at a regularly-scheduled meeting with more than one month notification.

 

Ratification:

Ratification of this Constitution shall be required.
