The following items
were all imported from another country or state for use at the
Governor's Mansion during the nineteenth century.
The marble in the fireplace
mantel in the Ladies Parlor on the main floor was imported
from New England.
The doorknobs on the main
floor are original to the Mansion and are made from
Sheffield Silver and were imported from England.
The bed warmer located in the
banquet kitchen is made of English pewter and was imported
from England in the nineteenth century. This particular item
was probably not used in the Mansion itself, but it is a
good example of items imported during the nineteenth
century.
