Cataloging

The Cataloging Department catalogs and processes all non-serial materials acquired by the library and maintains the GCSU Library Catalog (GIL).

Additionally, the Cataloging Department constantly works to improve access to library resources by withdrawing items that are outdated or that no longer support the library's and university's mission, reclassifying and moving items to more useful and logical locations in the library, and adding tables of contents and other useful information to existing catalog records.

The GCSU Library Catalog (GIL) is a large database that requires continuous review and maintenance. Our goal is to maintain an accurate and useful database that will allow patrons to easily find the books and other items they need.

Please contact christine.zuger@gcsu.edu or michael.bonnard@gcsu.edu for more information or to report a problem with a record in the catalog.
