JSTOR is a collection of electronic journals in the fields of:
African American Studies, Anthropology, Asian Studies, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance, History, Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Sociology, and Statistics.

Off-Campus:
1. Go to PAWS and click on
"Login to Secure Area."
2. Use your Social Security Number as "User ID" and your birthdate as "PIN."
For example:
User ID 32154876
PIN 012286
(if you were born on January 22, 1986)
3. After you Login, scroll down and click on "JSTOR"
4. Arrive at JSTOR and search or browse journals!
Note: Anyone who accesses the web through an institution or internet provider with fire walls in place blocking access to "non-standard" web ports (for example: RAFB) will not be able to gain access to JSTOR at that location.
Please try at home or at libraries which provide access to the web (i.e. GCSU, Macon State College, local public libraries).

Printing
Articles can not be printed using a web browser. Instead use the Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is already installed on all Russell Library computers and many other computers on campus. It will usually take 2-3 minutes to download and print an article.

Saving Articles
Download articles to your computer's hard drive/zip drive by selecting the "Download" link in search results list or on a Table of Contents page.
It may be possible to save a shorter article on a floppy disk. Saving files in "PDF: Economy Print" creates the smallest files. JSTOR estimates that you should be able to save up to a 30 to 35 page article on one floppy disk using
"Adobe Acrobat Economy Print."
Use Adobe Acrobat to later view or print the article.
