Respecting Others Please be considerate of other computer users. Limit search time on computers to less than one hour when others are waiting. Cooperation in adhering to this policy and showing respect for fellow patrons is appreciated. Appropriate Use The GCSU Library’s public access computers are intended primarily for curriculum-related research use. Other non-academic uses are discouraged and the staff reserves the right to ask users to stop. It is a violation of GCSU’s policy to create, display, or transmit obscene materials, as defined in section 16-12-100.2 of the Official Code of Georgia, unless dissemination of the material is permitted, as provided in the law. To see the text of the law, go to: The Georgia Code and enter 16-12-100.2 in the blank. All GCSU employees and students should be sensitive to the public nature of shared facilities, and take care not to display images, sounds or messages that could create an atmosphere of discomfort or harassment for others. All employees and students should also refrain from transmitting to others in any location inappropriate images, sounds, or messages which might reasonably be considered harassing. For additional information regarding acceptable use of technology resources on the GCSU campus, please consult the GCSU Information Security Portal
