Instruction & Reference Services Department faculty and staff provide research assistance to
library users in person, by phone, and also by email and instant messaging through the Ask-A-Librarian service.
Librarians in the Department teach library instruction at faculty request to over 150 classes per year, provide
access to quality reference materials and electronic databases, and coordinate outreach activities
for the library. Please stop by the reference desk or call us with any questions about research
or the services we provide.

8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday

ACCESS!
|
GCSU Librarians offer library instruction for courses, departments, groups,
and individuals. Instruction librarians teach the use and interpretation of library resources
in various subject areas and formats. Instruction can be scheduled for the Access! program
(English 1101), Freshmen Seminars, Upper Division Courses, and Graduate Research Courses.
Librarians also provide point-of-need instruction to individuals at the Reference Desk.
