GALILEOSearch Multiple Databases (Federated Searching) When you enter your search terms in the search boxes, you can search by one or all of the following: keyword, title, author, or subject. You will also be given the option of searching exclusively for articles that are available in their entirety (full-text) and for limiting your search to peer reviewed articles. You will learn more about the peer review process in a later section of this tutorial. The search screen will also show you a list of the individual databases that you are searching.
After you conduct your search, you will get a list of results arranged by database.
If you click on the "View" tab by an article entry, you will get the article citation information, an abstract if the database provides abstracts, and/or an html version of the article.
If you click on the "View PDF" tab by an article entry, you will get a facsimile of the original print version, as in the example below. Since the PDF version of an article is identical to the print version, you can cite it just as you would the print version. HTML versions of articles have been reformatted and must therefore be cited differently.
