


Current Center Projects
The Center provides evaluation services for the following projects:
Thank You Small Library Program- (United Nations ST-EP Foundation) Builds libraries to serve children and their communities in developing countries. Initial evaluation in Mozambique.
Tibetan Children’s Village School- Established to ensure Tibetan refugee children “receive a sound education, a firm cultural identity and become self-reliant and contributing members of the Tibetan community and the world at large. “
Youth Enrichment Services of Baldwin County (21st Century Community Learning Centers- USDOE) Provides after-school academic and enrichment programming to students in grades 3-12.
Lion’s Quest- (Lions Club International) promotes strong character development and drug prevention through K-12 education and service learning.
High Achievers Program- (Department of Human Resources) Trains youth to be active in their community and to become advocates for youth-related issues (e.g., Mayor’s Commission on Youth Leadership).
Partnership for Reform in Science and Mathematics (National Science Foundation) Enhances mathematics and science teaching and learning in Georgia schools and universities.
Science and Mathematics Alliance for Regional Teachers Partnership- (Georgia Department of Education) provides in-service teachers with the opportunity to increase their teaching skills and their content knowledge in mathematics and science.
Central Georgia Child Access and Visitation (US Department of Health and Human Resources)- Provides fatherhood training and mediation to reconnect non-custodial fathers with their children and improve child support.
In addition, the Center is conducting a three-year research study for the National Science Foundation on the effects of K-16 learning communities on student performance and on teacher practices.
